Our team
The Alco team is committed to bringing new treatments to individuals suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder, Tourette syndrome, and other neuropsychiatric disorders. Alco Therapeutics is led by Dr. Nicolas Cuba, who discovered a potential new treatment for OCD through chance observation while in medical school. He has developed our core strategies since that time, building on decades of research by Dr. Pittenger into the pathophysiology and treatment of these conditions. Dr. Pittenger initially served as a mentor and informal advisor, before formally joining with Dr. Cuba as co-founder and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of Alco Therapeutics in 2023.
